Flucloxacillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic. It’s mainly used to treat skin infections, chest infections and bone infections. Flucloxacillin is also used to treat ear infections in children. It can also be used to prevent infections during major surgical procedures, particularly in heart or orthopedic surgery.
